This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, constructing, and modifying structural components of buildings and facilities in accordance with U.S. Air Force/U.S. Army standards, safety regulations, and contract requirements. The role involves working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team to ensure safe, functional, and mission-ready facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Structural & Carpentry Work
- Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of structural systems including walls, doors, roofs, floors, ceilings, partitions, and frameworks.
- Install, repair, or replace building components such as drywall, insulation, siding, trim, cabinetry, windows, and hardware.
- Conduct finish carpentry work, including millwork, casework, and detailed woodworking tasks.
- Execute rough carpentry including forms, framing, sheathing, and structural reinforcement.
- Inspect and diagnose structural issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on facility structures in accordance with contract and base standards.
- Perform emergency repairs as required to maintain facility safety and operability.
- Prepare worksite, review work orders, and complete required documentation and reporting.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and carpentry equipment.
- Coordinate with other trades (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing) in support of multi-discipline maintenance tasks.
- Maintain clean, safe, and secure work areas in compliance with OSHA and base requirements.
- High School Diploma.
- Must possess minimum five years’ experience working as a carpenter.
- Active Journeyman Carpenter certification.
- Must be a US Citizen, and posses a valid REAL ID or U.S. Passport.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and perform repairs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be able to squat, lift, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to pass a company background check and motor vehicle record review.
