About The Company
This is a rare opportunity to embed yourself inside one of the most exciting companies in the autonomous vehicle space. Our client is a fast-growing AV technology company headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, building the software and simulation infrastructure that powers the future of self-driving vehicles. The team is sharp, the mission is real, and the pace is fast. This is a place where your work has immediate, visible impact.
This role starts as a contract engagement, but the company is growing rapidly and actively looks to convert strong performers into full-time team members. If you thrive in ambiguity, take ownership without being asked, and want to be part of something that's genuinely changing an industry, this is worth a conversation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing management of People data and reporting, building accurate, actionable insights that drive business decisions across the organization.
- Optimize People systems and workflows across platforms including Rippling, Carta, Greenhouse, JIRA, and PAVE, identifying and eliminating friction wherever you find it.
- Own the company's rotation and mobility program end-to-end, from strategy and policy design through day-to-day employee inquiries and process improvements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, leaves of absence, time off, and rotations, providing clear, empathetic, and timely support.
- Generate comprehensive dashboards and reporting to give leadership the visibility they need to make fast, data-driven decisions in a high-growth environment.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across an increasingly complex and growing headcount.
- Take on ad-hoc People and general operations projects as the team's needs evolve, this role is not a narrow lane.
What We're Looking For
You have 3 years of experience in a People or HR-related role and you've done more than just execute, you've spotted gaps and filled them. You're detail-oriented and data-driven without losing sight of the people behind the data. Ideally, you've worked in or around high-growth technology companies, and experience in the automotive or autonomous vehicle space is a genuine differentiator here.
- 3 years in a People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, people analytics tools, and large datasets
- Comfort with ambiguity, you don't need a fully-defined playbook to do excellent work
- Proactive problem-solver: you identify what's broken and fix it without waiting to be asked
- Bachelor's degree required
- Background in high-growth tech or AV/automotive companies strongly preferred
- Experience supporting startup scaling, from scrappy early-stage to structured growth is a strong plus
This role is actively being filled. If you're energized by the idea of building People operations at the intersection of tech and mobility, we'd love to connect!
Our approach goes beyond filling roles. We take the time to understand each company’s vision, culture, and challenges to identify leaders who align strategically and inspire meaningful impact. By combining deep market insight with a consultative, relationship driven process, we connect organizations with proven talent capable of driving sustainable success.
