Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate with 5 years of experience in civil/commercial litigation and/or construction law to join a well-established and growing Construction Department at a respected law firm.

Overview
As a Construction Litigation Associate, you will play a key role in providing legal guidance and support on complex construction-related disputes. Working closely with partners and senior attorneys, you will handle matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, and other construction-related litigation while contributing to strategic case development and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of construction litigation matters from inception through resolution under partner supervision
- Conduct legal research and analysis on construction, commercial, and civil litigation issues
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and memoranda of law
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and motion arguments
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials, arbitrations, and mediations as needed
- Draft and review construction-related contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams
- Stay current on developments in construction law and related areas
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Florida Bar (federal court admission preferred)
- 5 years of civil/commercial litigation and/or construction litigation experience
- Construction law experience, particularly in construction defect and construction-related disputes, strongly preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Courtroom and deposition experience required
- Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
