A premier Sarasota firm seeks a Construction and Design Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience, Florida Bar Board Certification in Construction Law, and a portable book of business. This is a strategic hire to strengthen the firm's construction and design practice serving developers, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel clients on construction contracts, project delivery methods, risk allocation, and design professional agreements
- Handle construction disputes, claims, mechanic's liens, payment issues, and defect litigation
- Negotiate and draft AIA, ConsensusDocs, and customized construction and design agreements
- Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and project-related risk management
- Develop and grow client relationships, referral networks, and the practice's overall presence
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- 5 to 7 years of construction and design law experience
- Florida Bar Board Certification in Construction Law required
- Portable book of business required
- Florida Bar admission required
