Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant (Client-Facing) – Hybrid Schedule one day per week

Applicants must be currently based in the Jacksonville, FL area

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with hands-on experience preparing business tax returns and the confidence to work directly with clients. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where technical expertise and interpersonal ability are equally important. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business clients, providing guidance, answering questions, and delivering a high-quality tax experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for businesses (S-Corps, Partnerships, and potentially C-Corps)
• Meet directly with clients—both virtually (via Microsoft Teams) and in person—to discuss tax matters, planning strategies, and filings
• Analyze financial data and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Respond to client inquiries and provide clear, professional guidance
• Collaborate with internal team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry changes

Qualifications:

• Proven experience preparing business tax returns (required)
• Strong understanding of business tax structures and compliance requirements
• Comfortable in a client-facing role with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear, approachable manner
• Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus)

Work Environment:

• Primarily in-office to support collaboration and client interaction
• Remote work available on Wednesdays, depending on client meeting schedules
• Mix of virtual (Teams) and in-person client meetings
