- Lead and manage all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for the site, with additional support for a 2nd local facility
- Drive regulatory compliance, environmental programs, process safety, and sustainability initiatives
- Promote a strong safety culture and coach leadership on safe behaviors and practices
- Oversee EHS training, new hire orientation, and employee engagement programs (e.g., Behavior-Based Safety)
- Conduct and lead risk assessments (HIRA, JHA/JSA) and ensure safe work permitting processes
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for injuries and near misses
- Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and reporting requirements (e.g., TRI, Tier II)
- Support emergency response planning and lead the site Emergency Response Team
- Collaborate with engineering, HR, and leadership on process safety, workers’ compensation, and management of change (MOC)
- Maintain and utilize EHS systems (e.g., Sphera, Gensuite) and integrate corporate safety standards into daily operations
