Accounting Associate
Location: Newark, NJ (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong ERP system knowledge, and a solid understanding of core accounting functions. Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance functions
- Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP Business One (SAP B1) experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Must reside within approximately 30 minutes of the Newark office
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accounts receivable billing entries
- Process and maintain accounts payable billing entries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Manage collections and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Assist with general accounting and financial reporting activities as needed
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Office Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
