What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Attorney position at Ascendion?
We are working with an award winning law firm, looking to bring on a Healthcare Attorney to join their growing team. This role can start remote, however, it will require 2x on-site once you are local. They need someone with 2 years of Healthcare experience.
Requirements:
- 2 years of healthcare experience
- Previous experience with Fraud, Abuse and other regulatory matters
- Prior experience with Anti-Kickback statute, EKRA and Stark law
- Must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, plus enjoy working in a team environment where self-starters excel
- Admitted to practice in the State of New York
Responsibilities:
- 1700 billable environment
- Meet with clients to review case strategy
- Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs, and legal research for complex matters in Superior and appellate courts
- Argue motions in Superior Court and oral arguments in appellate courts
- Trial preparation includes review and analysis of all factual and legal issues relating to compensability, valuation, and constitutional matters
- Selection of witnesses and exhibits
- Preparation of written outline for examination of witnesses
The annual salary for this position is between 140k-180k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
