What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Defense Attorney position at Ascendion?
We are working with an Award Winning Insurance Defense Firm, looking for a Litigation Attorney to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 3 years of experience, with previous Premises Liability, General Liability experience.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience
- 2 years of insurance defense experience
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Connecticut
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
- Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
- Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings
The annual salary for this position is between 150k-200k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
