Key Tasks And Responsibilities
Compliance Research & Regulatory Support
- Research and summarize federal and state healthcare regulations including HIPAA, consent laws, mandated reporting, telehealth requirements, digital health technologies, and Medicaid policies.
- Verify authoritative sources and maintain internal regulatory resource libraries.
- Translate complex regulations into clear, actionable procedures for clinical and front-desk staff.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and compliance leadership to ensure consistent and lawful patient care practices.
- Assist in developing workflows, policy documents, decision trees, educational slide decks, and staff scripts.
- Support process improvement and compliance implementation across primary care, behavioral health, and dental services.
- Assist leadership with policy implementation and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain organized, compliant record systems for policies, consent forms, regulatory updates, and training materials.
- Assist with document categorization, version control, retention practices, and digital filing systems.
- Support audit readiness through accurate and accessible documentation.
- Review and edit contracts based on information and revisions provided by leadership or compliance staff; ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting.
- Track changes, maintain organized contract files, and route documents for internal review and signature.
- Ensure finalized contracts are properly stored in accordance with organizational policy.
- Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables for clinical, compliance, and operational projects.
- Organize project materials, prepare updates, document decisions, and coordinate project meetings.
- Schedule meetings and support coordination of leadership activities.
- Arrange travel including booking transportation and lodging and preparing itineraries.
- Collect receipts, organize documentation, and submit accurate expense reports following organizational policies.
- Working knowledge of healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail. Accurate, complete documentation is something you take pride in.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain policies and regulatory requirements to diverse audiences.
- Organizational and time management skills to manage audits, reports, multiple projects, and compliance deadlines simultaneously.
- Documentation and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate compliance records and support audit readiness.
- Proficiency with document management systems, digital filing, and standard office software.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working with document management and office software systems.
