Position Summary:

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and supporting the timely and accurate close of the U.S. entities. Reporting directly to the US Controller, this individual will own key general ledger functions, including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation and review of complex journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjustments while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items, and maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis and period-over-period fluctuation reviews, and communicate key findings to accounting leadership.
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and organizational reporting requirements.
• Partner with external auditors, internal auditors, and tax advisors by providing schedules, supporting documentation, and technical accounting explanations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, Operations, and global finance teams to support accurate accounting, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Drive process improvements through the optimization of ERP systems, automation initiatives, and enhancements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, statutory reporting requirements, and other special projects to support the continued growth and scalability of the finance organization.

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8 years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including leases, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualificaitons:

• Public accounting experience.
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility.
• MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in multinational, manufacturing, or high-growth environments.
• Exposure to consolidation and financial reporting processes across multiple entities.
