What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Operations Consultant position at Artemis Professionals, LLC?
We are a high-tech, AI-enabled venture that is scaling rapidly and we are seeking a Supply Chain consultant to help with a broad range of data and system projects. We need someone who can help get data in the ERP, support logistics teams, update BOMS, clean-up/manage inventory, and more. We need someone available immediately that is savvy with technology who doesn't mind doing the administrative data entry but that can also jump into other projects. This person must be a self-starter who can figure things out, ask questions, and work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central operator coordinating between engineering, manufacturing, finance, and external suppliers
- Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and inventory structures within ERP/MRP systems
- Partner closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate part setup and material availability
- Lead inventory accuracy efforts including cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance resolution
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, shortages, excess, and scrap
- Establish controls and reporting for inventory health and working capital efficiency
- Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers and contract manufacturers as needed
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and service levels to support production scaling
- Manage vendor performance, risk mitigation, and continuity planning
- Create demand and supply plans to support production schedules and customer fulfillment
- Drive materials readiness and ensure on-time delivery of components and finished goods
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics including freight coordination, warehousing, and delivery execution
- Partner with 3PLs and external logistics providers as needed
- Ensure smooth movement of materials across suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customers
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience in a physical product environment
- Prior experience in a start-up or high-growth company where you owned multiple functional areas
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, BOM structures, and production planning
- Experience with sourcing, vendor management, and procurement execution
- Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement practical solutions
Preferred
- Experience implementing or working within ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Background in contract manufacturing environments
- Exposure to inventory controls, cost accounting, or working capital optimization
