We are seeking a Sales Manager who can coach and develop a small outside sales team while carrying a personal sales quota (“carry a bag”). This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with proven success in staffing sales and a passion for driving growth in the engineering, automotive, and IT sectors.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and grow a local outside sales team: Hire, train, mentor, and retain top talent.
- Coach for success: Provide deskside coaching, ongoing training, and foster a culture of accountability.
- Drive personal sales: Maintain and grow your own book of business while supporting team performance.
- Create and implement sales strategies: Develop account plans and market expansion strategies.
- Expand client relationships: Build strong partnerships with decision-makers and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with recruiting teams: Ensure client requirements are clearly communicated for successful candidate delivery.
- Track performance: Use metrics and dashboards to measure team and individual success.
- Exceed goals: Drive new placements, revenue growth, and gross profit targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required).
- 6 years proven experience in staffing agency sales
- Experience managing / supervising a sales team
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and building client relationships.
- Ability to train and coach salespeople in prospecting, cold calling, consultative selling, and job order qualification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High integrity, ethical standards, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Recruiting experience in staffing industry is a plus.
