Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet brand cleanliness and presentation standards. This role leads, trains, and holds team members accountable for quality, productivity, and service while supporting a positive and efficient work environment. The Supervisor works closely with housekeeping leadership and other departments to ensure rooms are guest-ready on time, inspections are completed, and operational standards are consistently met.
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Location: Rehoboth Beach, DE
Schedule:
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Initially scheduled 3 days per week, increasing to 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets brand and company standards
- Ensure rooms are cleaned and ready in a timely manner to meet guest check-in expectations
- Train, coach, and provide real-time feedback to team members to improve performance and service quality
- Monitor productivity levels and hold staff accountable for assigned duties
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed to support team workload and operational needs
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of linens, supplies, and equipment
- Communicate effectively with front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to lead by example and assist with hands-on cleaning tasks
