Position: Design Engineer

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay: $95,000 – $115,000/year

Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible schedule

Job Description

• Design and develop components for parachute recovery systems used in aerospace applications.
• Perform structural load and margin analysis using hand calculations and engineering methods.
• Create and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support conceptual design, prototyping, and product validation testing.
• Conduct material and system-level testing and analyze performance data.
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications, functional requirements, and customer standards.
• Collaborate with project engineers, manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers.
• Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Proficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of aerospace or mechanical design principles.
• Knowledge of structural analysis techniques and engineering calculations.
• Experience with programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.
• Solid understanding of systems engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
