Arkana Laboratories is seeking a highly organized and proactive Lab Administrative Assistant to support our laboratory leadership and teams. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, you'll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly, improving workflows, and helping teams stay aligned and efficient.
What You'll DoSupport Daily Operations
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to lab leadership and teams
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel, and team events
- Manage conference room scheduling and logistics
Drive Organization & Efficiency
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and internal documentation
- Track office and lab supply needs and coordinate ordering
- Assist with equipment maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and internal communications
- Distribute recurring updates and ensure timely information flow
- Handle incoming inquiries and direct them appropriately
Support Compliance & Staff Needs
- Track continuing education and licensure renewal timelines for technicians
- Maintain employee records and attendance tracking
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and processes
- Explore tools and technologies that enhance team efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years of administrative or similar experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Work Environment: Professional office/lab setting
