Arkana Laboratories is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Aide to support our pathology lab team. In this role, you'll play an important part in preparing tissue samples and ensuring slides are ready for pathologists to review and diagnose. Arkana Laboratories is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Aide to support our pathology lab team. In this role, you'll play an important part in preparing tissue samples and ensuring slides are ready for pathologists to review and diagnose. What You'll Do
Support Lab Operations
- Assist with receiving and accessioning specimens
- Help with daily operations across multiple lab areas (Immunofluorescence, Light Microscopy, and Electron Microscopy)
- Prepare materials and setup for the next day's work
- Organize slides by case and pathologist using trays and folders
- Deliver slides accurately and on time to pathologists
- Assist with slide filing and maintaining organized records
- Clean, set up, and maintain lab equipment and workspaces
- Support inventory tracking and supply management
- Assist with various lab needs to keep operations running smoothly
- Take on additional tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word; some Excel preferred)
- Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
- Hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory setting
