An assistant director of nursing (ADNS) is resonsible for the nursing team and quality of patient serveses in the absense of the Director of Nursing. The ADNS supervises, analyzes, delegates and evaluates nursing activities and ensures patient comfort and care. Chairs meetings specific to the nursing strategic plan. Assists with State Federal Survey Preparedness. Works within the focus of quality assurance and performance improvement. Directs standards of care team with focus on quality measures. Bedside care in emergency situations.
