Job Summary: The Electro-Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing all plant functions, as well as other departments when needed. This includes supporting repairs, upkeep of parts, inventory, plant housekeeping, and safety measures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
- Carry out repairs and general maintenance in all areas of the manufacturing plant.
- Aid in the upkeep of parts and supplies inventory.
- Ensure adherence to plant safety rules, identifying and eliminating any safety hazards or concerns.
- Monitor the quality of work output and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with the Supervisor to complete jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Work closely with other department supervisors to expedite repairs of down equipment.
- Maintain cost-effective use of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow instructions for the efficient use of tools, machines, and materials.
- Keep the working area neat and organized, and assist other departments with cleanliness and organization when necessary.
- Perform individual assignments as directed by management.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, and the community.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Knowledge:
General knowledge of Maintenance is required. The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Good team-working skills.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in machine repair, tool & die, and/or machinist areas.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' mechanic troubleshooting experience.
- Journeyman card
- Related Technical Degree
- Licensing in Electrical, Welding, or related field
- Miscellaneous Maintenance/Mechanical/Electronics trade school
- Journeyman Electrician (a plus)
- Experience working within a TPM program (a plus)
- Understanding of mechanical workings of a variety of production equipment
- Ability to repair and install machinery
- Ability to analyze problems and make independent judgments, making recommendations for corrective action or resolution
