What are the responsibilities and job description for the JOURNEYMAN/FORMAN ELECTRICIAN position at REX COLLINS ELECTRIC, INC?
We are an electrical contractor located in Marion, Indiana with over 35 year's experience. We specialize in commercial, industrial, agricultural, design & build and bid spec projects. . We also utilize ABC of Indiana Apprenticeship for our training needs.
We have openings for the following:
Journeyman/Foreman
Needs to have completed apprenticeship and be a Journeyman, Master Electrician, or a minimum of 6 years experience in the field.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Needs to have completed apprenticeship and be a Journeyman or Master Electrician or a minimum of 6-years experience in the field.
- Must pass drug test
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record (must be insurable by our company's insurance provider)
- Good Work History
- Use of basic tools
- Be able to work at various heights and in various climates (indoor & outdoor year round)
- Carry, set up and perform necessary tasks from a ladder or lifts
- Maintain a clean presentable personal image to the customer while on a job site
- Interact with and around general public and in commercial environments during and outside of normal business hours.
- Must be able to understand and carry out basic instruction while performing manual labor related tasks.
- Must be able to successfully use basic math, writing, and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to move parts in excess of 100 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Job requires you to be able to sit, stand, walk, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling, squatting, bending and stooping.
