This position requires a balance of creative architectural expertise and project management skills, ensuring the successful development of projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities & Core Competencies
- Project Design: Oversee the design and development of complex projects from the programming phase through construction administration, managing all aspects such as schedules, budgets, staffing, and coordination.
- Creative Problem Solving: Apply experience and creativity to conceptualize designs and resolve design challenges.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with clients, the BSA design team, and external consultants, maintaining clear communication and project alignment.
- Business Development: Support business development initiatives, including participating in client interviews and presentations.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Function as a mentor to junior team members, fostering professional growth through knowledge-sharing in a collaborative studio culture.
- Experience: 8–15 years of progressive experience in architecture, with a strong focus on resort residential, multifamily housing, and/or hospitality project types. A genuine passion for design and creative problem-solving is highly valued.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Licensed Architect in the United States (required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in REVIT and a solid understanding of building systems. Expertise in 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction practices.
- Project Management & Coordination: Demonstrated skills managing budgets, staffing, and developing project plans.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage internal teams, consultants, and client relationships.
