FIELD is seeking a Job Captain with at least 5-8 years of architectural experience to join our diverse and talented team. Past residential work is highly desired, including experience in all phases, including construction.
Summary: Skilled and experienced in the practice of Architecture. Contributes to development of design vision for projects and is responsible for assisting Project Managers/Project Architects in preparing final project design drawings. Responsible for coordinating with a team to develop designs and construction details and to collaborate and assist with outside consultants as needed. Responsible for meeting deadlines as set by PM/PA or Jr PM/PA for projects, delegating tasks to designers and interns, and for adhering to the standards which are set by the firm.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within our field and will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrated abilities associated with project drawing documentation as well as rendering and presentation. Proactive with follow through on tasks, assignments, research, and coordination and demonstrate advancing problem-solving skills with regards to design. Perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision of a Project Manager/Project Architect or Junior Project Manager/Junior Project Architect, and of the Principal.

Qualifications
- BArch or MArch degree from an accredited program
- Licensed architect or on licensure track in California
- 5-8 years of architectural practice experience
- 3-5 years of direct experience with document production, consultant coordination, and management of junior staff
- Ability to develop details, and experienced in the production of construction documents
- Revit expertise
- Direct experience with consultant coordination
- Delegation and management of responsibilities of the designer or intern staff
- Working knowledge of the California Building Code
- LEED Accreditation desired, but at minimum, a demonstrated commitment to building sustainable environments is required
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Ability to efficiently interface with project team and clients and contribute to a positive, energized working environment
- Shows initiative, pro-activity, and pride in their work
- Proximity to the Bay Area is essential to allow for site visits and collaboration in person.
