Notre Dame Preparatory School is seeking a Director of Alumni & Parent Relations. This position leads Notre Dame Prep’s alumni and parent engagement programs, volunteers, communications, and events. This position oversees select events for the Office of Advancement and serves as the primary Advancement liaison to the school’s parent organizations, including the NDP Parents Club, Booster Club and Alumni Advisory Board. The Director is responsible for fostering lifelong relationships with alumni and families, strengthening community engagement, and partnering with Advancement colleagues to support philanthropic participation and pipeline development in alignment with the mission of Notre Dame Prep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Engagement
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual plan for the Alumni Association and parent engagement programs, including events, communications, and measurable goals.
- Design and execute strategies that foster lifelong connection among alumni, current parents, and past parents.
- Spearhead young alumni engagement initiatives to build early philanthropic habits and sustained involvement post-graduation.
- Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing support to the Alumni Advisory Board.
- Serve as the primary Advancement liaison to the NDP Parents Club, partnering closely with its leadership to advance its mission and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Parents Club, Booster Club, and other volunteer groups to enhance community engagement and support Advancement priorities.
- Recruit, train, and manage a strong network of alumni and parent volunteers, including class chairs and reunion committees.
- Plan and execute a comprehensive calendar of alumni, parent, donor, and community events, including Homecoming, Grandparents Day, Parents Club signature events, and the St. Peter Chanel Society Dinner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure events reflect the school’s mission, brand, and strategic priorities.
- Evaluate event success and continuously improve engagement and participation.
- Expand and strengthen the alumni career network to promote alumni-to-alumni mentorship, professional connections, and career development opportunities.
- Develop programming that supports alumni engagement across life stages and affinity groups, including athletics, arts, and academic interests.
- Coordinate reunion programming for Notre Dame Prep and heritage school alumni.
- Lead the development of targeted alumni and parent communications, including newsletters, digital content, social media, and publications such as Irish magazine.
- Recruit and collaborate with volunteer contributors to enhance storytelling and community voice.
- Ensure consistent, mission-centered messaging across all alumni and parent engagement channels.
- Partner with the Director of Annual Giving to increase alumni and parent participation in the Notre Dame Fund.
- Collaborate with Advancement leadership to identify and refer alumni and parent prospects for major and planned giving opportunities.
- Support reunion giving and targeted engagement strategies that drive philanthropic outcomes.
- Work closely with the Director of Advancement Services to maintain accurate and comprehensive constituent records.
- Track and analyze engagement metrics, event participation, and giving trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2–5 years of experience in advancement, alumni relations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in relationship-building, volunteer management, and event planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and organization.

- Standard Schedule: The core working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Flexibility Requirements: Due to the nature of the Advancement cycle, this role requires frequent local travel for donor visits and a flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend commitments. This includes attending school events, committee meetings, and donor receptions (e.g., Homecoming, Gala, or Giving Days).
- Occasional out-of-state conference travel could be necessary.
- Physical Demands: Applicants should be comfortable navigating a campus environment and possess a valid driver’s license for off-site donor meetings.
