The Technical Project Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of complex, voice centric telecommunications projects from initial kick-off through full implementation. This role focuses heavily on VoIP, multisite voice deployments, SIP services, and advanced connectivity solutions, requiring close coordination with engineering, sales, provisioning, and service delivery teams.
The TPM serves as the central point of communication, ensuring every project progresses with urgency, technical accuracy, and clear expectations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Voice & Telecom Delivery:
- Lead implementation of VoIP solutions, voice routing, SIP based services, and multi-location deployments.
- Support complex Layer 2 / Layer 3 connectivity requirements in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Manage advanced provisioning tasks and maintain technical accuracy across all voice related orders.
Complex Order & Project Management:
- Manage a high volume of simultaneous, complex orders with precise sequencing, dependencies, and documentation.
- Maintain complete and accurate project materials, including network diagrams, Visio drawings, routing documentation, and multisite design assets.
- Identify, escalate, and drive resolution for at risk or stalled orders through proactive cross-functional engagement.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary contact for project status, timelines, changes, and escalations.
- Translate engineering details into customer-friendly language to support both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate meetings with Sales, Sales Engineering, Service Delivery, and customer teams to support complex implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales to validate customer requirements and ensure accurate solution alignment.
- Coordinate handoffs and communication across all departments involved in the order lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineering to confirm configuration details and ensure execution aligns with expectations.
Process Ownership & Industry Awareness:
- Own assigned customer projects from initiation through completion, ensuring a high quality, timely delivery experience.
- Stay informed on telecom, VoIP, internet connectivity trends, and competitive offerings to support solution design and customer recommendations.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in telecom service delivery, technical project management, or implementation roles.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications, VoIP, SIP systems, circuits, and connectivity solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with accuracy, urgency, and strong organizational control.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging engineers, customers, and cross-functional partners.
- High professionalism, strong problem-solving ability, and exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in telecom provisioning, technical service delivery, or project management.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Visio, network diagramming, and telecom provisioning platforms.
- Exposure to Microsoft and Cisco environments.
