About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Business Project Analyst to join our client’s growing team. In this role, you will analyze data for reporting and insights using SQL, Tableau, and Excel, while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs, define requirements, and guide initiatives from concept through successful delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring teams have the information, clarity, and support they need to achieve business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Perform in-depth data analysis to support reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Query, transform, and validate datasets using SQL.
- Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and visual reports using Tableau.
- Develop and enhance Excel-based reports, trackers, and performance models.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify pain points, clarify objectives, and translate business needs into clear data requirements.
- Document requirements, workflows, and expectations to align stakeholders and ensure shared understanding.
- Coordinate timelines, milestones, and deliverables to keep work on track and ensure successful completion.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring everyone has the data, context, and updates they need.
- Identify data gaps or issues and drive follow-up actions to resolution.
- Monitor progress, track outcomes, and support continuous improvement across processes and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all reporting deliverables.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Proven experience building dashboards and interactive visualizations in Tableau.
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, advanced formulas, data modeling, charts, etc.).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience gathering requirements, coordinating workstreams, and overseeing tasks from start to finish.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data warehousing or cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
- Experience supporting operations, finance, or product reporting initiatives.
