What You’ll Be Selling

You don't need to come in knowing this industry — you'll learn it fast through our internal training. Here is what you'll be offering clients, in plain English:


  • IT & tech talent on demand. Placing skilled IT and technical professionals onto our clients' teams — on a contract basis, contract-to-hire, or as a direct hire.
  • Running their recruiting for them. When a client doesn't want to run their own hiring process, we take it over — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees on their behalf.
  • Dedicated teams overseas. We build and manage teams in lower-cost markets that work exclusively for our client — same work as a US team, at a different cost structure.
  • Managed teams that run a function. Instead of just placing people, we take ownership of an entire department or process and deliver an outcome.
  • Standing up an entire overseas office. For large clients, we can help them open a fully staffed office in another country from scratch — real estate, hiring, compliance, and operations.
  • Upskilling current employees. Custom training programs that teach a client's existing workforce new skills so they don't have to hire from outside.


What You’ll Do

Grow Existing Accounts (~70%)

  • Own and expand a portfolio of established Apt clients in Central Alabama — building trusted relationships with hiring managers, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Make regular on-site visits to identify new projects, departments, and opportunities where we can help.
  • Introduce clients to the broader portfolio — when a hiring conversation reveals a deeper problem, you'll have a solution beyond just sending another resume.
  • Partner closely with our recruiting, delivery, and consulting teams to make sure every placement and engagement is a reference-quality win.
  • Manage reporting on account health, pipeline, and growth opportunities; conduct quarterly business reviews with key clients.


Win New Accounts (~30%)

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new logos across Central Alabama — from local mid-market companies to enterprise headquarters in the region.
  • Build pipeline through disciplined outbound activity, executive networking, industry events, referrals, and warm introductions from our global account base.
  • Run a clean sales process from first meeting through signed contract, using Apt's reputation and our broader global capabilities to win against larger, slower competitors.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and CRM discipline.


Who We’re Looking For

We are industry-agnostic on background. We want sharp, disciplined sellers with strong fundamentals — and then we make them better through Apt's own top-tier internal sales development program.


  • 2–3 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with documented quota performance.
  • Strong sales fundamentals from a previous role (you don't need to name a methodology — show us the results).
  • Articulate, polished, and well-accustomed to client-facing work at every level — from hiring manager to C-suite.
  • Comfortable selling into companies of every size — from a 50-person operation to a Fortune 500 division.
  • A consultative, listen-first style. Our clients buy outcomes, not products.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, results- and process-driven; coachable and intrinsically motivated by earning what you produce.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, network, and manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Central Alabama; valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
