Our client client is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join their team. This is with a fast growing CPA & Business Advisory firm's corporate accounting team.

Location: Atlanta, GA (Perimeter Center) - Hybrid 2-3 days in-office
Salary: $125 - $155k bonus

What You’ll Own
- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Oversee the annual financial audit, including PBC coordination, supporting workpapers, reconciliations, footnotes, and statement preparation (BS, P&L, cash flow)
- Prepare or review technical accounting memos for complex transactions and new accounting standards
- Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for technical accounting topics, including revenue (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and business combinations (ASC 805)
- Manage purchase accounting for newly acquired entities, including valuation inputs, opening balance sheet creation, and integration into consolidated reporting
- Oversee consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, suspense resolution, and foreign currency translation adjustments (CTA)
- Partner with the accounting team to reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and drive timely resolution of discrepancies
- Develop, document, and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and standardized procedures
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls across accounting processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across accounting operations
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to technical accounting and financial reporting
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong technical expertise across US GAAP, including consolidations and foreign currency accounting (ASC 830)
- Hands-on experience supporting audits and preparing workpapers, footnotes, and financial statements
- Experience with purchase accounting (ASC 805)
- Experience working in a multi-entity or acquisitive environment
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in a professional services or multi-entity environment
- Exposure to Workday Financials or similar ERP systems
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm)
Salary : $125,000 - $155,000
