Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the AR function, including invoicing, collections, payment processing, and customer account management. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records, optimizing cash flow, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the accounts receivable function, including billing and payment posting
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing across projects, services, and recurring accounts
- Manage customer communications related to billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment schedules
- Supervise, mentor, and develop AR staff; provide ongoing performance feedback
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently
- Generate AR aging and status reports; support month-end and year-end close processes
- Partner with accounting and finance teams to improve cash flow and reporting accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with accounting software systems (D365 preferred)
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily desk-based role with extended periods of computer use
- Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs)
- Standard office mobility (sitting, standing, walking, reaching)
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
