Title: Senior Manager, Network Engineering

About the Role
Join a global specialty materials leader headquartered in the Atlanta region, where you’ll guide the strategic direction and operational excellence of worldwide network infrastructure. As the Senior Manager of Network Engineering, you’ll lead design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of WAN/LAN architectures, telephony and telecom systems, and vendor partnerships—ensuring scalable, secure and cost‑effective global solutions. You will report to the Vice President of IT Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain scalable, secure WAN/LAN frameworks, including SD‑WAN rollouts across global locations.
- Lead global network refresh initiatives to meet performance, reliability and security benchmarks.
- Leverage network analytics and tooling to optimize performance, streamline operations and reduce risk.
- Manage telecom infrastructure and spend: wireline, mobile, hosted services, and voice solutions.
- Oversee rollout and adoption of VoIP and call‑center telephony platforms throughout the organization.
- Develop and manage capital and operational budgets for network services; identify savings through vendor negotiation and infrastructure optimization.
- Build and manage strong vendor relationships (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, HP, global telecom providers), and hold vendors accountable through SLAs and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement by tracking KPIs/SLA metrics, collaborating cross‑functionally and contributing to long‑term IT infrastructure strategy and roadmaps.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of enterprise network engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Hands‑on expertise with Cisco, Meraki, SD‑WAN, VoIP, VPN and firewall technologies.
- Strong background in telecom systems, telecom expense management (TEM) tools and telephony standards.
- Proven budgeting, cost‑management and vendor‑negotiation experience.
- Preferred: Certifications such as CCNP, ITIL or PMP.
Salary : $170,000 - $185,000
