Position Overview
A leading, employee-owned commercial contractor in the Seattle market is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to lead and elevate its safety program across active and upcoming projects. This role will provide strategic and field-level safety leadership while partnering closely with operations, project teams, and executive leadership.
The Senior Safety Manager will play a critical role in fostering a proactive, people-first safety culture aligned with the values of employee ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee safety programs across multiple commercial construction projects
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
- Conduct jobsite safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Track, analyze, and report safety metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as a resource for regulatory compliance (OSHA, local/state requirements)
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and leadership training sessions
- Promote a strong safety culture focused on accountability, engagement, and prevention
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of construction safety experience, preferably within commercial construction
- Prior experience in a senior or regional safety leadership role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
- Proven ability to influence field teams and leadership through collaboration and communication
- Experience supporting multiple projects and managing competing priorities
- OSHA 30 required; CSP, CHST, or similar certifications preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $140,000 – $170,000, depending on experience
