They are actively seeking a Project Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects in the Philadelphia area.
Position Overview
The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of heavy civil construction projects, including site development, earthwork, utilities, paving, and transportation infrastructure. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects
- Support project management teams with scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews
- Monitor project progress and assist in resolving field issues
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards
- Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and procurement of materials
- Track and report on project performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction (internships included)
- Exposure to sitework, utilities, roadwork, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or similar) is a plus
