We are seeking Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Beaumont, TX office. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the development and execution of complex mechanical engineering projects across refineries, chemical, and process plants.
In this position, you will lead projects from Front End Loading (FEL) through detailed design, oversee critical equipment selection decisions, and manage RFQs and purchasing packages. You will also supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions and advancing project success.
Key Responsibilities -
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects with a focus on equipment design and process piping systems during FEL and detailed design phases.
Prepare and review equipment data sheets, RFQs, RFPs, and bid tabulations for mechanical and rotating equipment.
Provide technical leadership in the selection and specification of rotating and static equipment.
Oversee and review piping stress analysis for complex systems to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
Apply and enforce compliance with industry codes and standards including ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, ASHRAE, ASTM, TEMA, AWS, MSS-SP, OSHA, and NACE.
Conduct process studies, technical evaluations, and research investigations; prepare reports and recommendations.
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate mechanical engineers, designers, and technical staff.
Develop and implement action plans to improve work flows, efficiency, and project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
Promote and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Required Education & Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
10–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in refineries, chemical plants, or process facilities.
Extensive hands-on experience with equipment design, process piping, and piping stress analysis.
Proficiency with engineering design software and piping stress analysis tools.
Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, etc.).
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid EAD required (visa sponsorship not available).
Preferred Qualifications -
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in piping stress analysis and equipment design for refinery and chemical plant applications.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
