This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage office operations, accounting, and HR functions to support a variety of commercial construction projects, including corporate, facilities, retail, multi-family, and medical projects. This position is open to Washington State residents only. Key Responsibilities: Manage payroll via QuickBooks integrated with Clockshark Handle billing, contracts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in QuickBooks Oversee HR functions: onboarding, I-9 verification, employee files, safety plans, and L&I claims Support office operations and accounting across commercial construction projects Ensure Washington State compliance, including B&O tax filings, L&I reporting, and subcontractor documentation Maintain smooth communication between office and field staff Required Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience as an Office Manager in a commercial construction environment (subcontractor, GC, or similar) Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, including job costing, billing, and reconciliations Strong knowledge of Washington State compliance requirements: B&O tax filings, L&I reporting, subcontractor documentation Experience managing payroll, billing, and AP/AR HR experience including onboarding, I-9 verification, and L&I claims management Hands-on, problem-solving approach and ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction office Must be a current Washington State resident Ideal Candidate Traits: Patient and adaptable across language and cultural differences Confident, assertive, and able to communicate effectively with field and office staff Flexible, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment What We Offer: Competitive salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year Medical, dental, and vision insurance Matching 401(k) program 2 weeks PTO to start Opportunity to work closely with a supportive owner and experienced team Temp-to-hire with potential for long-term growth Location & Work Environment: Our Redmond office is small but collaborative, with 7 staff in-office and 50–60 field employees.
