Job Summary
A growing organization in the banking and consumer lending industry is seeking a Recovery Agent for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Lexington, SC. This fully onsite role is ideal for a collections, recovery, insurance, or asset evaluation professional who enjoys investigation, problem solving, and working through complex account situations.
The Recovery Agent is responsible for helping minimize losses on severely delinquent accounts through repossession coordination, collateral evaluation, remarketing, legal support, and collection efforts. This role offers structured training, hands-on exposure to a wide range of collateral types, and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze accounts transferred to Recovery to determine collectability and appropriate next steps.
- Coordinate repossession efforts with agents nationwide and review condition reports, photos, and supporting documentation.
- Research collateral value using online resources and identify the best outlet for remarketing or resale.
- Work with attorneys on legal pursuits involving customers, guarantors, and severely delinquent accounts.
- Approve equipment sales within assigned authority levels while balancing recovery value and expense control.
- Conduct initial collection efforts and skip tracing to locate customers, collateral, or businesses that are no longer responsive.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $50,000 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM.
