Position Overview
The Human Resources Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the HR Director while assisting across a variety of HR functions. This role is designed as a temp-to-hire opportunity, with potential for conversion based on demonstrated performance, reliability, and cultural alignment.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in building a long-term career in human resources, possesses foundational HR and payroll experience, and demonstrates the ability to work independently with discretion and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or HR certification preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of HR administrative experience
- Hands-on exposure to payroll processes required
- Strong proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; demonstrated ability to quickly learn new platforms
- High level of discretion in handling confidential employee and compensation data
- Demonstrated commitment to a long-term career in Human Resources
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR Director
- Assist with HR audits, compliance checks, and documentation management
- Generate, pull, and format reports from the HRIS system
- Serve as payroll backup, with the ability to independently run a full payroll cycle within 90 days
- Support various HR functions including benefits administration, leave of absence (LOA), recruitment, and general operations
- Handle ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleGuru or similar HRIS/payroll platforms (e.g., Paylocity, Paycom, Rippling, BambooHR, ADP Workforce Now)
- Experience processing payroll in a mid-sized organization
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and multi-cycle payroll runs
- Flexibility in supporting a wide range of administrative and HR-related tasks
