Construction Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are partnered with an established and growing specialty contractor seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to lead a key Industrial Construction Division. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for the overall operational success of the division—not simply managing individual construction projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced construction leader who understands both field operations and executive-level business management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations and overall performance of an Industrial Construction Division.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership.
- Oversee multiple industrial construction projects while ensuring operational consistency, quality, safety, and profitability.
- Maintain responsibility for divisional P&L, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, resource planning, and financial performance.
- Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Support business development initiatives, proposal strategy, contract negotiations, and repeat business opportunities.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish operational goals, improve performance, and drive long-term growth.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.
Compensation & Benefits
- $110,000–$140,000, depending on experience.
- Performance-based bonus opportunity.
- Vehicle allowance.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Full-time, direct hire leadership opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of progressive construction leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading construction operations, a business unit, division, or major project portfolio with operational and financial accountability.
- Experience with an Industrial General Contractor (GC), EPC contractor, or large electrical/specialty contractor strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing multi-trade industrial construction operations.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
- Strong background in business development, client relationship management, proposal strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Experience developing, mentoring, and leading Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction professionals.
- Excellent executive communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, power, energy, government, aviation, or other complex infrastructure construction environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience driving operational improvements, strategic planning, and organizational growth.
Please Note: This is not a traditional Construction Manager or Project Manager position. We are seeking an operational leader responsible for the overall performance of an established construction division, including financial results, client relationships, business development, team leadership, and operational excellence. Candidates whose experience is limited to managing individual projects may not meet the requirements of this opportunity.
