Marketing Communications Specialist
Location
- Remote
- Must be local to the Richmond, VA area or located in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.
- Travel to the Richmond area approximately once per month for meetings.

Position Overview
The primary role of the Marketing Communications Specialist is to support the Marketing Communications team by executing key marketing initiatives for the company’s product portfolio.
The Marketing Communications Specialist must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects aligned with the overall marketing communications plan. Success in this role depends on close collaboration with Marketing, Digital Marketing, Sales, and external partners.
This position provides broad exposure to Marketing Communications and offers opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and lead projects as needed.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Marketing Communications Lead, the Marketing Communications Specialist will:
- Assist Channel Marketing with execution of co-branding requests, including co-branded content and advertising creative.
- Oversee development of sales aids and updates to existing marketing collateral, including:
- Product catalogs
- Swatch books
- Product overview sheets
- Industry overview sheets
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with external marketing agencies.
- Manage the review and approval process for ongoing marketing projects with internal stakeholders.
- Execute the email marketing content calendar, including writing email copy and coordinating scheduling with the Digital Marketing team.
- Coordinate website updates, including webpage content revisions and development of new webpages supporting marketing initiatives.
- Provide tactical support for trade shows and marketing events, including:
- Booth planning
- Marketing material coordination
- Registration
- Lead capture planning
- Reservations
- Remote support during event execution as needed
- Ensure marketing content is uploaded and organized within sales enablement platforms and internal resource libraries.
- Assist with organization of marketing files.
- Support product photography sessions and video content production as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with external agencies or vendors is preferred.
- Copywriting experience is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver on commitments.
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- SharePoint
- Adobe Creative Suite experience is preferred.
- Strong team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to travel approximately 5–10%.
