Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Integration Testing Engineer to support system-level validation for complex, hardware-integrated medical devices. This role is ideal for a seasoned Software Tester or Systems Engineer with a strong end-to-end understanding of software and instrument testing within regulated environments.
The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering and development, to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers within the System ART to identify software and hardware vulnerabilities.
- Design and develop comprehensive integration and system-level test plans.
- Execute hands-on testing of software integrated with hardware/instrumentation.
- Develop, document, and maintain test protocols and test cases.
- Author detailed technical reports, including test results and defect analysis.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including logging, tracking, documentation, and reporting to development teams.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards applicable to medical devices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing, specifically in hardware-integrated systems.
- Strong experience in integration testing and system-level validation.
- Hands-on experience with test execution, defect tracking, and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, agile environment (e.g., SAFe / Agile Release Train).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated environments such as FDA (medical devices) or FAA.
- Prior experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or similar.
- Experience with system integration testing involving instruments or embedded systems.
