Job Title: Lab Supervisor
Job Description:
We are seeking a Lab Supervisor to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Research and Development laboratories. This role is responsible for maintaining lab infrastructure, overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting scientific teams with equipment and lab processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily laboratory operations including access, orientation, equipment usage, cleaning, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
- Manage lab documentation, ensuring adherence to Good Documentation Practices
- Enforce laboratory safety protocols and take appropriate action when violations occur
- Coordinate calibration, maintenance, repair, and relocation of lab equipment
- Act as a point of contact between lab users, scientific staff, and cross-functional teams (Facilities, Calibration, etc.)
- Support installation and validation of new equipment with minimal disruption to project teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert on lab operations and media preparation
- Participate in on-call support for lab-related issues
- Handle conflict resolution among lab users and escalate when necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Prior experience as a Lab Supervisor or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety, compliance, and documentation standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
