Aplós Associate Manager – Restaurant Responsibilities & Role
Leadership & Reporting
- Reports directly to the General Manager (GM) and Kitchen Manager.
- Supports both FOH and BOH managers as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Acts as a shift supervisor in assigned areas under the direction of senior managers.
Operational Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on support in both FOH and BOH as directed.
- Assists in monitoring guest service, cleanliness, and product quality across the restaurant.
- Supports shift execution and ensures tasks are completed according to standards.
- Escalates guest or staff concerns to senior managers when appropriate.
Financial Accountability
- Supports managers in achieving financial goals through labor efficiency and cost control.
- Helps monitor waste and usage in FOH and BOH operations.
- Assists with accurate recording of sales or labor data as directed.
Staffing, HR & Culture
- Assists with training new team members under the guidance of senior managers.
- Provides feedback to managers on staff performance and development needs.
- Helps promote a respectful, team-oriented, and positive workplace culture.
- Communicates shift goals to FOH or BOH staff as assigned.
Inventory & Ordering
- Assists with FOH and BOH inventory counts and reporting.
- Supports managers with proper receiving, storage, and rotation of products.
- Helps track shortages, waste, or supply issues and reports them to supervisors.
Training & Development
- Learns from senior managers in both FOH and BOH to build cross-functional skills.
- Supports training sessions for hourly employees when directed.
- Demonstrates accountability, adaptability, and readiness for future advancement.
Compliance & Safety
- Helps enforce compliance with health, sanitation, labor, and alcohol laws.
- Ensures FOH and BOH staff follow daily safety and sanitation procedures.
- Reports potential compliance or safety issues promptly to senior managers.
Accountability
- Directly accountable to the GM and Kitchen Manager for assigned responsibilities.
- Acts as a bridge between hourly staff and management, supporting both FOH and BOH teams.
- Responsible for executing tasks and directives from senior leadership to support restaurant success.
