End-User Computing Specialist 1

Location: Boise, Idaho (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

This position provides timely and effective solutions to end-user computer, telecom, and networking problems to ensure end-user productivity. The role serves as a second-level resolution resource for a wide variety of information technology specialty areas, including communication, desktop, network, infrastructure, print, audio-visual, and integration support within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a second-level resolution resource by recognizing, researching, isolating, and resolving information systems issues.
  • Perform restorative and maintenance actions both remotely and at the end user's location to resolve problems.
  • Conduct general maintenance and support of IT hardware and infrastructure.
  • Recommend systems modifications to reduce user issues.
  • Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in resolving equipment or software issues.
  • Collaborate with other support personnel for appropriate services, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system.
  • Handle basic issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of applicable experience is required. Education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Technical Skills: Possesses entry-level knowledge of end-user computing, telecom, and networking. Must have a strong customer service orientation.

Work Environment

This is an in-field position that requires travel to multiple sites throughout the Treasure Valley. The work will be conducted inside healthcare and hospital environments, which may involve occasional patient contact. Candidates must have reliable transportation for use during all shifts, and mileage reimbursement is provided. Occasional overnight travel to locations outside the Treasure Valley may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $15.00/hour to $18.00/hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
