- Travel Requirements: This is an in-field position that requires travel throughout the Treasure Valley to multiple sites. Occasional overnight travel to locations outside the Treasure Valley may be required. Candidate must have their own personal vehicle and be willing to use it for travel. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Job Summary: Under direct supervision, the End-User Computing Specialist 1 provides accurate, timely, and creative solutions to end-user computer, telecom, and networking problems of moderate to complex nature to ensure end-user productivity. This general classification will be used for a wide variety of IHT End User Computing specialty roles in the Health System, including Communication, Desktop, Network, Infrastructure, Print, Audio-Visual and Integration Specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a second level resolution resource, including recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems issues, answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, and following-up to assist users in solving their technical computing issues.
- Perform restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or at the end users location to resolve problems.
- Perform general maintenance and support of IT hardware and infrastructure.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user issues.
- Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 support personnel (Engineering, Application, System Administrators, Infrastructure, etc.) for appropriate services, repairs, troubleshooting, training and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system and according to policies and standards.
- Handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possess skillset or entry level knowledge of subject matter.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of applicable experience required.
