We are currently assisting out Power focused client in thier search for a Civil Designer to focus on the design of undergroun power transmission and distribution infrastructure. - Develop plans using established design practices, including sequencing, presentation, and component sizing.
- Convert preliminary sketches and mark-ups into finalized design documents.
- Review technical data such as maps, reports, and geologic information to inform project planning.
- Apply relevant codes, standards, and specifications to meet design requirements.
- Deliver accurate drawings and documentation within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Incorporate project timelines, budgets, and technical criteria into design deliverables.
- Maintain organized records of all drawing revisions and project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support project success.
Required:
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, OpenSite).
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design standards.
- Ability to interpret technical data and apply it to design solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience with underground utility and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and geotechnical data analysis.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
