Role Overview
Perform, calculate, and report routine and specialized laboratory tests while maintaining equipment and troubleshooting issues. Evaluate results and quality control data, serve as a resource for training new staff and students, and assist in testing procedure evaluations. Demonstrate knowledge of patient growth and development, assessing patient data based on age-specific needs to provide appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in laboratory procedures
- Perform and evaluate equipment maintenance and quality control
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions
- Monitor training progress and recommend additional training
- Assist with supply management and maintain work area organization
- Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure productive, independent performance
- Entry-level candidates with an associate degree in a science field or eligible as a medical technologist
- Effective communication, teamwork, discretion, and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to various conditions
- Willingness to expand knowledge of lab and hospital functions
- Knowledge of electronic health records; preferred certifications include ASCP-MT or MLT
Salary : $29 - $45
