Role Overview
Responsible for performing, calculating, and reporting routine and specialized laboratory tests while maintaining equipment and troubleshooting issues. Evaluates results and quality control data, serving as a resource and trainer for new staff and students. Assists in evaluating new test procedures and applies knowledge of patient growth and development to assess data and provide appropriate care.

Demonstrates technical proficiency, manages maintenance and quality control, identifies process improvements, and supports training and supply management. Maintains organized work areas and functions independently by planning and prioritizing tasks. Maintains positive performance in various conditions.
Qualifications & Skills
Entry-level graduates with an associate degree in an appropriate science field, eligible as a medical technologist, with effective communication and the ability to work under pressure. Preferred certifications include ASCP-MT or MLT. Essential skills include clear communication, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service, and experience with electronic health records. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
