What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at Aperture Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process design, development, and optimization projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in process engineering, providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for production operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and R&D to implement best practices and process improvements.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for complex process issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
- Support capital projects by defining process requirements, evaluating equipment, and coordinating installation and validation activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training to technical staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
Qualifications
- :Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- .5–8 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- .Strong knowledge of process design, optimization methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC)
- .Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools (certification preferred)
- .Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- .Strong communication and leadership abilities with experience mentoring or leading teams
- .Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools
