What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Aperture Group?
This is a 3-6 month contract-to-hire position with the goal of converting to a permanent employee at the end of the contract period dependent on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Create, enforce, and regulate all safety procedures to ensure that all company, federal, and local safety requirements are met
- Tour and inspect facilities, reporting concerns to safety sr. management
- Document safety inspections and recommend corrective actions as needed
- Manage all site documentation related to safety (incident reports, inspection reports, training etc.)
- Analyze trends and create strategies/implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents
- Lead safety projects and junior safety staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health or Environmental Sciences or related field
- 7 years of general industry safety experience
- OSHA 501 certification
- CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Training and/or leadership experience
- Travel to other sites within MD as needed
Salary : $60 - $80
