Apera is supporting an aerospace company building next generation electric aircraft, and we are looking for a Software Tools Engineer to join their team onsite in San Jose.
This role is focused on owning and improving the tools used by software development and verification teams. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and developing tools, while also helping teams adopt them effectively through training and documentation.
This is a high impact role working closely with engineering, quality, and certification teams in a fast moving, highly regulated environment.
What you will be doing
- Develop internal tools based on engineering and verification needs
- Administer and configure COTS tools used across software teams
- Support CI/CD infrastructure and ensure performance and reliability
- Assist in building and maintaining traceability tools
- Support tool qualification activities and testing requirements
- Create and deliver training materials for engineering teams
- Partner with cross functional teams to improve workflows and processes

- Strong understanding of CI/CD frameworks and infrastructure
- Experience configuring or administering engineering tools
