Position Summary: Confidential organization is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support the Legal Department in a fast‑growing, operationally complex environment. This role is focused on providing practical legal support across commercial, transactional, and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on reviewing and organizing contracts and supporting attorneys with day‑to‑day legal workflows.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with commercial agreements, can distill key terms and issues for attorney and business review, and brings sound judgment, strong organization, and attention to detail to a high‑volume legal function.
Core Responsibilities
Commercial & Transactional Support:
- Review commercial agreements, amendments, and related documents at attorney direction to identify key business and legal terms, deadlines, and obligations.
- Prepare summaries, issue lists, and reference materials to support attorney and internal stakeholder review.
- Assist with contract lifecycle management, including intake, tracking, version control, execution, filing, and maintenance of internal trackers and checklists.
- Support a range of transactional matters, including vendor and master services agreements, real estate‑related documents, government or utility agreements, and other commercial arrangements.
Legal Operations & Document Management:
- Maintain organized electronic legal files and contract repositories in accordance with internal standards.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and formatting; prepare revisions and redlines as directed.
- Track key dates, deliverables, and follow‑up items associated with legal matters and agreements.
Cross‑Functional & Administrative Support:
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, construction, finance, compliance) to gather information and support legal review processes.
- Assist with regulatory or compliance‑related documentation as needed.
- Support outside counsel coordination, document collection, and information flow.
- Perform general legal administrative support as needed, including scheduling, correspondence, and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant paralegal or legal support experience, preferably in a commercial, transactional, or in‑house setting.
- Experience working with contracts and commercial legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
