Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician for an ongoing inpatient-focused assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This role is primarily procedure-based with a consistent weekday schedule and no call responsibilities.
Key Details:
- Approximately 8–10 procedures per day
- Primarily inpatient GI procedures
- Occasional inpatient consults and collaboration with APPs as needed
- No routine rounding
- No weekends, no holidays, no call
- Paid lunch/breaks included
- EMR: Epic
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 9-hour on-site shifts
Procedures Include:
- Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD)
- Colonoscopy and Polypectomy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Esophageal Dilation
- Foreign Body Removal
- Variceal Banding
- Bleeding Control / Cautery Procedures
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- (BE candidates must obtain certification within 5 years of training completion)
- Active or eligible state medical license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong procedural GI experience required
Preferred:
- ERCP and EUS experience preferred but not required
- Previous inpatient GI experience
- Epic EMR familiarity
